Supporting Positive Behavior
Positive Behavior & Support (PBIS)

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a schoolwide approach that teaches and reinforces positive behavior, helping students build the skills they need to be successful in school and beyond.
At San Juan School, our PBIS program is all about helping our Mountain Lions shine their brightest! With our PAWS expectations—Practice Kindness, Act Responsibly, Work Hard, and Show Respect—students learn how to be caring, responsible, and successful every day.
Our friendly mascot, Monty the Mountain Lion, cheers everyone on as they make great choices around campus. When students follow PAWS, they can earn Mountain Lion Moolah, special rewards they can spend at the Mountain Lion Mercado!
It’s a fun and meaningful way to celebrate positive behavior and support every student in growing into a strong, kind, and confident Mountain Lion.
